Carpet Roles are delighted to be assisting our well-established Flooring Contractor Clients in their growth plans through 2026 and into the future. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Estimator to help deliver Costs and Estimates to potential and existing clients.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our client's dynamic team in Hemel Hempstead, specialising in commercial flooring contracts. Our client's company has established a strong reputation in the flooring industry, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring their projects are accurately estimated and delivered on time. You will work closely with project managers and clients to provide precise cost assessments and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for commercial flooring projects, including materials, labour, and overhead costs.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Maintain and update the estimating database to reflect current pricing and market trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
  • Liaise with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial flooring industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial flooring materials and installation processes.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
