Job description:
This is an opportunity to join a reputable surface repair and protection company to manage our resin flooring contracts across the UK.
Your day to day role will be to oversee and be responsible for the planning and running of all aspects of operations management including all elements of coordinating the on-site activities from start to completion including responsibility for on-site health and safety and quality standards.
You will work flexibly to accommodate the customer’s time schedules. As with other service industries, weekends are considered working days and work schedules can change at short notice.
You will be the first point of contact for the client, operatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and office staff and therefore will require good communication skills.
Although the role will primarily be based in Durham, we work nationwide, and this will require occasional away-from-home working.
Key Role Points:
· Customer Satisfaction - To meet and exceed client expectations. This applies to any interactions before and after the service has been delivered.
· The first point of contact for the site operational team and client.
· Daily or weekly communication with clients through various channels to maintain current relationships.
· Daily communication and management of resources and personnel such as Team Leaders and Operatives that comprise the Operations Team.
· Responsibility for health and safety within the contracts department for operatives, projects, vehicles and plant.
· Provide a contracts report on a monthly basis and the success rates achieved.
· Management of sub-contractors under your control.
Contract Performance:
· To control and co-ordinate all contract related activities including site paperwork including risk assessments & method statements, labour, vehicles, plant, materials, health & safety, quality including site inspections and audits, record keeping, waste management and non-conformities.
· Maintain client relationships and evaluate client satisfaction.
· Utilise and operate systems to ensure daily and weekly project planning and management in line with clients’ needs.
· Managing and implementing efficiencies within the Contracts Department
· To ensure general site and premises security
· To report on monthly a monthly basis
· To increase orders by relationship management
Key Attributes/Experience
· Good communication both oral and written.
· Technical knowledge or resins and other coatings would be an advantage.
· Good IT skill level in Excel and Word
· Relevant qualifications
· IT Customer Relationship Management systems experience / knowledge would be an advantage.
· Previous contract manager experience
Salary is negotiable and dependent on previous experience.
