The Company:

Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, one of the largest UK Carpet Manufacturers in their search for a Sales Representative to work on their behalf in the Essex Area calling on Retailers within the postcode areas above and covering the surrounding areas from home. Our clients are a quality UK based Carpet Manufacturer. They are seeking a business building sales professional, either from a retail management or sales representative background to offer a full service to their strong client base in the area. The area has been well worked and would be considered 'hot'. Our clients offer an excellent environment to work in and are really supportive of their team, backing them with fantastic products, prices and service that being part of a group of UK manufacturers allows them to get products to their customers quickly and efficiently, giving them a real advantage.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be sales focused, calling on a well-established hot customer base in the retail flooring market. This will include small retailers, large retailers, and buying groups. Experience of selling into these markets is obviously an advantage as is a strong knowledge of the retail flooring and carpet market, but our clients are more than happy to speak to sales professionals from outside the flooring market if they can bring the business building drive and tenacity this role requires. The role will by its nature involve a strong element of new business development and subsequent management of the customer base as it builds, as well as account management of the existing base.

The Person:

The ideal Carpet Sales Representative will hold the following skills and experiences:

  • Experienced retail flooring sales representative or retail manager background.
  • Allied relevant experience as a sales representative within non-flooring is also welcome.
  • Strong drive and enthusiasm for new business generation will be an essential element of this role.
  • A tenacious and professional attitude to the development and management of your area.
  • Well presented with excellent interpersonal as well as high-level communication skills (written and verbal).
  • A willingness to develop your skills and experience and a desire to build a long-term career with a market leader.

This is a role for a flooring industry insider who knows the region and the potential for business within it to really generate a fantastic career opportunity for themselves within this significant player in the UK carpet and flooring market.

In return you will receive a negotiable basic salary up to £45,000 (negotiable) with commissions and bonuses to give an OTE package in the region of £50k+ (£1,200 pcm commissions currently) depending on skills and experiences plus company car, laptop, phone etc. Our clients also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including pension and subsistence/expenses as required.
