Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting our Clients, a significant player in the contract and commercial flooring sector in the South of England, who deal with a wide portfolio of bespoke flooring projects throughout London and the South East of England, in their search for an additional suitably skilled Commercial Flooring Estimator. Projects they work on are varied but in this instance we are recruiting for their Fit Outs Division based out of Canary Wharf offices.

Duties:

  • Deal with pricing and securing a variety of projects at one time of varying value from the estimate or tender stage and then follow through the complete process of the flooring works in conjunction with our clients' various stakeholder departments from Sales through Project Management.
  • Involve procurement, client liaison, liaison with and sourcing fitting teams and subcontractors for on-site work.
  • Assist with the preparation and signing off on the final account of the project in conjunction with the assigned Contract Managers and other internal departments.

Requirements for Successful Candidate:

  • Flooring, Fit Out, Interior or Design & Build experience as an Estimator.
  • Be driven and ambitious and want to further your skillset and career.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, proficient with MS Office and Excel program.
  • Computer literate.
  • The ability to work within a team and build effective working relationships both internally and externally, but also to work on their own when required.
  • Ability to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately.
  • Good numerical skills including analytical skills.
  • Some knowledge of the construction industry including terminology.
  • Strong personal organisational skills.

Bottom Line:

Our clients are seeking an experienced Contract Flooring Estimator, ideally with a Fit Out or D&B background. You will be immediately capable of taking on workload up to and including the duties above with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry-specific quantification software such as Callidus or Measure Square / Masterpiece is desirable. A solid and accomplished track record in Contract Flooring is useful but absolutely you will be from a Construction / Fit Outs Estimating / QS background. The location of the majority of the role is in and around our clients' Canary Wharf / Docklands office in East London / Essex.
