We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Upminster, Essex, specialising in commercial flooring solutions (New Builds, Hospitals, Schools etc). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing project contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading and still growing company in the flooring industry, offering a negotiable salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of contract management for commercial flooring projects.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to protect the company’s interests.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timelines.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and financial performance.
- Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager, preferably within the commercial flooring or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, business administration, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, enhancing customer relationships.
- Experience of Portals such as Asite, Dalux, 4projects etc is useful.
