We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation, restoration, and new construction. As a vital member of our crew, you will contribute to creating durable, high-quality finishes while supporting various trades on-site. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces and mixing materials for plastering, stucco, and other finishing applications.
- Apply plaster, stucco, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with framing, metal stud framing, and carpentry tasks related to renovation projects.
- Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications.
- Install rebar, perform concrete forming, and lay tile as needed for various projects.
- Support demolition, restoration, and site cleanup activities to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on plastering or masonry preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, rebar installation, and metal stud framing.
- Familiarity with roofing, caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying, and stucco application is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in construction trades.
