Job Purpose

You will be responsible for handling and progressing the recovery of uninsured and insurer losses arising from road traffic accidents. This trainee role offers structured development and hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle emails and phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Manage a caseload of ULR/Recoveries cases, utilising the firm's Case Management System, to assist clients in recovering losses such as their motor policy excess following a road traffic accident.
  • Progress cases efficiently to ensure clients receive timely, relevant, and professional legal advice, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations appropriately.
  • Manage enquiries and follow up on actions in a timely manner.
  • Complete data entry tasks, ensuring departmental systems are kept up to date.
  • Administrative duties, such as photocopying/scanning, filing and paperwork archiving.
  • Ensure departmental data is kept up to date and accurate.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Polite, confident, and professional telephone manner.
  • Effective time management and organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workload.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
