The company

Carpenter Miller · DialAFlight Concierge is a corporate travel agency. The bulk of our work is business travel for corporate executives and growing SMEs, the people whose diaries are packed and whose meetings cannot be missed. Alongside that we handle luxury leisure travel, and a roster of high-profile sports professionals.

We are part of a larger, established brand, but we run as a small and fast moving team. The Carpenter and Miller in our name are Matt and Tom, the two directors, and you would report to them directly.

We are small but highly successful team where your voice matters and your work makes an immediate impact - We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. You’ll be joining a group that celebrates wins together and supports each other through challenges.

The role

This is a client servicing and account management role. Service is key and you will take care of an existing portfolio of corporate accounts: booking flights and hotels, managing changes, answering questions and quietly solving problems before clients ever notice them. Over time those accounts become yours, and the relationships you build are the ones that drive your commission. However, you won't be doing this in isolation; you will be an integral part of our great team, with thorough support available to assist you be successful.

Corporate travel is repeat business. The same people will call you week after week, so you will get to know how they like to fly, where they like to stay and what they never want to be asked twice.

Being honest about the job

We would rather tell you now than have you find out in month two.

Speed and accuracy are the whole job. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and our clients measure service in minutes, not hours.

Problem solving is key. Support is there when you need it, and nobody expects you to know everything on day one. But this is a fast paced environment, and the people who thrive here work a problem first, then bring a proposed answer rather than an open question.

Remote is a responsibility, not a perk. No one is looking over your shoulder, which is exactly why self-discipline matters. If you need the structure of an office to stay motivated, this role wouldn't be a fit for you.

Some travel is not glamorous. For every honeymoon in the Maldives there are twenty return flights to Amsterdam and a client who needs the aisle seat sorted before lunch!

Who we are looking for

  • A great communicator. Clear, confident and personable, on the phone and in writing.
  • Proactive. You spot the thing that needs doing and do it, without being asked.
  • A problem solver. Resourceful, calm and comfortable making decisions.
  • Warm. Our clients stay with us because they like dealing with us. That starts with you.
  • Comfortable with tech. Quick on a keyboard, quick to learn new systems. We work over email, WhatsApp & phone.

Travel industry experience is a bonus, not a requirement. We are happy to teach the travel side to someone with the right attitude and a track record in service or sales.

What we offer

  • £35,000 OTE, with uncapped commission. Our starters have all reached their OTE in year one.
  • 28 days holiday a year, including bank holidays. If you would rather work a bank holiday and take that day off at a time that suits you better, you can.
  • Pension.
  • Air miles & Travel perks
  • The chance to look after high profile athletes, personalities and business leaders.

We get the team together in London every three or four months. Attendance is expected and we cover your travel.
