We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Partner to join our expanding team in Portsmouth. You will need to possess extensive technical tax knowledge and be able to provide strategic commercial advice to clients on tax planning and risk management. You will also play a key role in winning new work, managing client relationships, leading projects, and contributing to the growth of our corporate tax advisory service.

  • Act as the primary corporate tax advisor for key clients, working closely with lead Partners to deliver tailored tax solutions.
  • Provide specialist advice on corporate restructuring, M&A transactions, cross-border taxation, and complex compliance matters.
  • Lead the delivery of tax advisory projects, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to deliver practical and innovative solutions to complex client issues.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements, sharing relevant updates with clients and internal teams.
  • Support business development efforts through networking, presentations, and proposal preparation.
  • Leverage our membership in GGI International to generate inbound corporate tax opportunities and coordinate local advice for international projects.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, offering training and guidance to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.

About You

  • Proven experience in a corporate tax advisory role.
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience advising personal and corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and advisory issues.
  • Experience in managing client relationships and leading projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in team development and mentoring.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in tax software and relevant tools.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and enjoyment in identifying business opportunities.
  • Passionate about building strong networks and collaboration across teams, whilst taking pride in delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations.
