Due to our continued growth across Hampshire, we are seeking a proactive Audit Manager to support the firm’s success and growth in Portsmouth, Southampton and the wider Hampshire area. This new role offers great development opportunities and a key part in establishing our audit offering within the region.
The role is based within the Hampshire area, primarily between Portsmouth and Southampton offices, and will grow our regional footprint. You will manage a portfolio of existing clients, with opportunities to expand it further as we establish ourselves locally. We’re looking for someone comfortable leading engagements, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver a first‑class service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
- Conduct work in an ethical, professional manner in line with relevant professional standards and regulations.
- Proactively maintain and strengthen client relationships within your portfolio, while identifying opportunities to develop new business.
- Plan, control and review audit assignments to ensure delivery is accurate, cost‑effective and timely.
- Manage, supervise and develop team members on assignments, providing clear feedback and guidance to support professional growth.
- Produce clear, concise and professional reports on all assignments.
- ACCA or ACA qualified.
- Experience using Inflo or similar audit software, confident in a fully paperless, digital audit environment.
- Demonstrable ability to plan, manage and review audit assignments efficiently, meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Proven experience in developing and mentoring staff within an audit team.
- Motivated, proactive and adaptable, able to thrive in a growing regional team.
- Practical audit experience gained in a similar environment.
- Background in commercial audit work advantageous.
- Working in a relaxed, friendly, modern environment with a great team.
