About CARPENTE Architecture
CARPENTE is a luxury residential architecture and interiors studio based in Notting Hill. Founded and creatively led by Christophe Carpente, we create highly individual interiors for private clients in the UK and internationally. Our work is art-led, deeply personal and designed around the way each client wants to live. CARPENTE was recently named among Country & Town House magazine’s 50 Finest Interior Designers for 2026. We are a small, focused studio where everyone works closely together and has the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to exceptional projects.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Design & FF&E Coordinator to support the delivery of a significant private residential project in Dubai. The project is progressing into its interior fit-out stage. Working directly with Christophe, you will coordinate the interior design and FF&E workstream, translating creative direction into detailed research, specifications, schedules and practical delivery. This is a hands-on role within a small studio. You will work closely with the wider CARPENTE team, external project managers, architects, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the interior design and FF&E workstream from design development through to installation
- Research furniture, materials, finishes, products and specialist suppliers
- Prepare considered options that reflect the creative direction, project requirements and budget
- Create and maintain detailed FF&E schedules, specifications and decision records
- Coordinate samples, material approvals and supplier information
- Liaise with external project managers, consultants, contractors and suppliers
- Track actions, approvals, costs, lead times and deadlines
- Review technical drawings, shop drawings and supplier submissions
- Support procurement, logistics, delivery and installation coordination
- Ensure design intent is maintained throughout the delivery process
- Identify risks, resolve issues and keep the project moving against demanding timescales
- Contribute flexibly across the studio when project deadlines require it
About you
You will typically have at least five years’ relevant experience within interior design, interior architecture, architecture or FF&E. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience delivering high-end residential or luxury hospitality projects
- A thorough understanding of FF&E sourcing, specification, procurement and installation
- Experience coordinating complex, live projects involving multiple suppliers and consultants
- Confidence producing and managing drawings, schedules and detailed specifications
- Strong AutoCAD capability
- Experience with bespoke furniture, joinery, materials and finishes
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
- The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership
- International or Middle Eastern project experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Occasional travel to Dubai may be required.
Right to work
Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK for the duration of the engagement. Unfortunately, CARPENTE is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
