Build the UX that powers the future of automotive.
About Us
At Carpata, our vision is to build the vehicle and parts data infrastructure that powers the automation of the entire automotive aftersales industry. We are working with garages, dealerships, manufacturers, parts suppliers, and insurance companies across the ecosystem. We are looking for a talented, customer-focused engineer who holds exceptionally high standards for accuracy, approaches challenges creatively, and obsesses over automation because automotive data is always evolving. This is a unique opportunity to join a seed-stage company founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built and exited automotive tech businesses. Backed by Concept Ventures, Nosara Capital, and angels from UK automotive tech leaders, we have big ambitions to drive change.
Industry-wide Problems We’re Solving
- Eliminating Manual Parts Procurement: We’re eliminating time-consuming part lookups and quote creation for automotive businesses, enabling them to order the right parts, first time, confidently.
- Workflow Automation: Dealership health checks automatically generate accurate service recommendations, enabling fleet operators to procure parts across hundreds of vehicles without manual cross-referencing.
- Democratising Parts Knowledge: Complex vehicle specifications and inconsistent supplier data become invisible to end users through a single, authoritative platform that anyone can use reliably.
What You’ll Do
You’ll take the lead on building intuitive, high-performance front-end experiences that simplify complex workflows for B2B automotive users. Working closely with our designer, founders, engineers, automotive experts, and our customers, you’ll help transform fragmented procurement processes into seamless digital journeys. While your primary focus will be front-end, you’ll collaborate across the stack to ensure these experiences are fast, reliable, and scalable.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Front-End Excellence with Full-Stack Agility: You’re confident writing modern, scalable front-end code with tools like TypeScript, Next.js/React, and component libraries.
- Startup Mindset: You’re resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Customer-Centric Thinking: You start with the user problem and care deeply about experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with analytics, monitoring or observability tooling.
- Background in automotive, marketplaces, or high-SKU B2B platforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML-powered products or startups.
This Role Is NOT For You If
- You prefer remote work — this role is in-person at our London office.
- You want problems fully defined before starting.
- You optimise for perfection over getting value into customers’ hands.
Why This Role Will Define Your Career
Tangible Impact from Day One: You’ll design and build the interfaces at the heart of a platform already used by leading automotive businesses.
Foundational Influence: As an early joiner, you’ll have a genuine say in how our front-end systems evolve.
Collaborate with Proven Builders: You’ll work closely with experienced founders and a highly-experienced engineering team.
A Unique Stage of Growth: We’re moving from early traction to repeatable scale.
A Platform Built to Last: With strong backing, stable foundations, and an ambitious roadmap, you’ll be able to focus on quality.
Hiring Process
- Intro chat with our CTO about the company and your experience.
- Take-home technical task.
- In-person working session with our Lead Engineer to walk through your solution.

Ready to Build the Future of Automotive Interfaces? We know not everyone ticks every box — and that’s okay. If you’re energised by building great user experiences in high-impact domains and want to shape a fast-moving product, we’d love to hear from you.
