Overview
Fire Risk Assessor / Health & Safety Assessor role within the Fire Risk Consultancy division. Undertaking fire risk assessments, general risk assessments, and site surveys across a varied portfolio of premises including residential buildings, supported living accommodation, and commercial premises.
This role is suited to experienced assessors as well as those earlier in their career who are looking to progress within the fire safety and health & safety sector in a technically focused consultancy. Remote and flexible working, with assessors trusted to manage workloads and deliver quality, professional outputs. The role also offers the opportunity to be trained and developed, supporting progression into more complex fire safety consultancy work over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake complex Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Complete General Risk Assessments across residential and commercial premises.
- Carry out site surveys and inspections to identify fire and health & safety risks.
- Apply relevant fire safety and health & safety legislation, British Standards, and sector guidance.
- Produce clear, well-structured fire risk assessment and general risk assessment reports.
- Provide proportionate and practical safety advice.
- Communicate professionally with clients and duty holders.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised Fire Risk Assessment and/or Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Certificate, NEBOSH General Certificate, or Level 3 FRA qualification).
- Experience in undertaking fire risk assessments and general risk assessments.
- Foundational knowledge of fire safety principles and health & safety risk assessment methodology.
- Strong written English and technical report-writing ability.
- Full UK driving licence.
