We are on the hunt for a Family Mediation Supervisor, with membership of the Family Mediation Council (or similar) or hold a recognised Mediation training course certification, to join a UK-headquartered, international law firm operating in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
The Family Mediation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing mediation practice, ensuring compliance with Family Mediation Council standards, and providing supervision to mediators engaged in contract work.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified solicitor
- Member of the Family Mediation Council (or similar) or successful completion of a recognised Mediation supervision training course
- Experience as a Family Mediator (min. 3 years)
- Completion of 45 hours of mediation sessions in each Category of Work
- Highly organised nature with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Good professional judgement and discretion
- Supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team of mediators
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, compliance with law and procedures and high standards of legal practice
Key responsibilities as the Family Mediation Supervisor will include:
- Supervising mediators in accordance with Family Mediation Council guidance
- Ensuring all supervised mediators meet contractual and professional standards
- Conducting 15 hours of mediation sessions per year
- Maintaining an active mediation practice and continuing professional development
- Adhering to Family Mediation Council guidance (or other relevant bodies)
- Monitoring performance and compliance with supervision requirements
- Ensuring high-quality service delivery across all categories of work
