We are looking for a highly organised, professional and proactive Legal Administrator / Legal Secretary to join a successful law firm in their Leeds office. Joining a market-leading organisation, the Legal Secretary will provide first-class support to allocated partners and associates within their practice area. You will be the first point of contact for clients, so we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong administrative capabilities as you will produce legal documentation and correspondence, maintain diaries and assist with marketing activities.

Key responsibilities as the Legal Secretary will include:

  • First point of contact for clients, dealing with any queries or issues and maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Maintaining partners’ and associates’ diaries
  • Coordinating internal and external meetings
  • Coordinating billing/credit control and accounting matters
  • Producing legal documentation and client correspondence
  • Assisting with the preparation of court bundles
  • Building good working knowledge of the legal areas of expertise you are supporting
  • Assisting with marketing activities, events and seminars as required
  • Building knowledge of files and matters to be able to support partners and associates in assisting clients

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary / Legal Administrator (salary is dependent on experience)
  • Fast, accurate typing and accurate numeracy skills
  • Highly organised nature with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office applications and document management systems
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels professionally, confidentially and tactfully
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, professional and personable team player
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
