This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified Finance professional, with relevant real estate industry experience, to join a successful real estate investment firm in London as their Financial Controller.
This is a newly created, hands-on role which will include managing the day-to-day financial duties whilst also being involved with general operations of the business. Working closely with the CEO and Fractional CFO, there is a genuine opportunity to personally grow in the role and within the company, as the organisation scales.
In a nutshell: We’re looking for a focused, driven, hard-working and commercially astute Financial Controller, with experience gained in the Real Estate or Investment Management sector, who is keen to roll their sleeves up and be hands-on in a dynamic, successful and growing business.
Key responsibilities as the Financial Controller will include:- Managing corporate accounting and group bookkeeping
- Overseeing financial reporting internally and externally
- Supporting the development of financial processes and procedures
- Ensuring full regulatory compliance including AML, KYC and fund governance obligations as required
- Assisting with mortgage refinancing
- Managing marketing materials, investor communications and product structuring to ensure they are legally compliant (working with legal advisors)
- Identifying operational and financial risks and implementing mitigation plans
- Supporting due diligence on acquisitions, lending and investment pipelines if required
- Providing management with detailed reports and financial information
- Liaising with external accountants and third-party vendors
- General assistance with business operations

- Qualified Financial Controller (ACCA, ACA or similar)
- Relevant industry experience
- Solid all-round accountancy and bookkeeping experience
- Experience in cashflow management, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with mortgage refinancing
- Strong tax accounting experience
- Solid regulatory compliance knowledge and experience
- Happy to be in a hands-on role and be involved in the operational side of the business
- Tech savvy with keen interest in financial systems, implementation and automation
- Ability to build and/or improve finance functions, processes and controls to support scalability in a rapid-growth environment
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Ambitious, driven and focused with an entrepreneurial edge
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong business relationships at all levels
