Our client, a leading City Law Firm, is looking for a CIPD qualified generalist Senior HR Business Partner / HR Manager, preferably with a legal or professional services background, to join their HR department on a permanent or FTC basis.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will provide a full range of generalist HR and strategic and operational BP support, working closely with an allocated practice area and business support teams. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Human Resources / People BP will provide support and advice to client groups on matters such as change management, organisational design, talent management, ER and performance management.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, passionate and commercially minded individual who is keen to immerse themselves in the HR team.

Key responsibilities as the Senior HR Business Partner will include:
- Developing effective working relationships with partners and line managers, providing professional HR advice, guidance, coaching and support
- Providing trusted support and advice to busy practice areas on strategy and operational HR matters
- Providing sound advice and guidance to line managers in dealing with complex ER matters
- Managing discipline and grievance issues
- Developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, guidance and systems
- Leading and developing projects to support HR and wider firm strategies
- Assisting in evaluating training and development requirements
- Assisting in forecasting and managing HR budget
- Assisting the Head of HR with the annual salary review
- Undertaking annual salary and benefits benchmarking
- Supporting the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams with initiatives and activities
- Direct management and development of HR team members
What we’re looking for:
- CIPD qualified HR professional
- Strong generalist HR / People Business Partner experience preferably gained in the legal field or professional services environment
- Strong communication skills and excellent relationship management skills with proven ability to gain credibility at all levels
- A confident communicator, with the ability to liaise professionally at all levels
- Knowledge and ability to provide professional HR advice and guidance
- Significant HR operational experience
- Experience of working with senior management on a range of HR and employee relations issues
- Ability to effectively use data to assist decision making and reporting on ROI
- Professional and highly organised
- IT literate with strong MS Office skills
