We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to manage payroll for 1,000+ staff across multiple care homes, ensuring accurate and timely processing. The role will cover HMRC, pensions, reconciliations, reporting and payroll queries, alongside supporting agency staffing processes, monitoring staff contracts and maintaining audit records.

Whilst this is a temporary position, there is a possibility that at the end of contract period, further temporary or permanent opportunities may arise in the same / similar roles in the group.

About The Role

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include

  • Processing payroll for 1000+ staff across a portfolio of care homes
  • Assessing and reporting key areas of each pay run including sickness and absence, reconciliations between payroll and accounting software
  • Liaising with HMRC relating to PAYE, NI & RTI
  • Liaising with management and staff regarding all pay queries
  • Administration of the company pension schemes and the auto enrolment process
  • Managing the procurement of agency care staff and related processes.
  • Monitoring staff contracts and staff audit file
  • Posting quarterly and annual accruals. Reconciling the payroll accounts in Sage line 50
  • Driving innovation through the use of technology/software to improve the payroll process.
  • Developing and implementing creative solutions and liaising with relevant stakeholders internally and externally
  • Monitoring agreed KPIs to evaluate performance. Proactive identification of staffing levels in the homes and putting in place corrective measures
  • Undertaking additional and ad-hoc duties (e.g. business plans/forecasts etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Especially Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexible approach to tasks and teamwork
  • An understanding of and adherence to Caron Group's ethos
  • Experience from previous role in HR and Payroll preferred and / or relevant experience gained in an office environment
  • Applicants with no prior work experience who possess transferable skills will be considered
  • Knowledge of Employment Law
  • Degree Educated (preferably 2.1 minimum)
  • Any Professional Accredited Qualification in either Finance or HR

Package

  • Full time - 40 hours a week
  • Competitive salary (depending on experience)
