We're a leading British design brand in cards, stationery, stylish home and gifting products, and looking for an Account Manager (maternity cover) to join our sales team at our Putney Head Office from December 2026!
Role Overview
Reporting to the Sales Director, and over the length of your fixed-term contract, you'll cover ownership of a portfolio of large wholesale accounts, both National and Export, becoming the main point of contact for our retail partners and helping their businesses make the most of our collections. From managing the order process through to liaising with merchandising, warehouse and accounts, you'll be the thread that holds each account together, spotting opportunities, solving problems, and making sure every delivery lands exactly as it should. You'll get to know our product range inside out, support customers through seasonal launches, and represent the brand at trade shows. You will be based in our Head Office in Putney. The role would suit someone organised, calm under pressure, and genuinely motivated by building strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of large wholesale accounts, both National and Export
- Responsible for developing and maintaining solid relationships with our retail partners
- Managing customer order process; from receipt of order to it being received by the customer
- Liaising with Merchandising team to confirm stock levels and best use of stock
- Liaising with Warehouse regarding customer specific requirements; ensuring all packaging and delivery instructions are understood and correctly followed
- Liaising with accounts team regarding credit limits and account status
- Completion of supporting delivery documents; including barcode creation and pallet labels
- Export paperwork completion
- Product knowledge; develop excellent knowledge on our vast and varied product offering
- Involvement in customer product selection process
- Identify cross-selling opportunities
- Accurate completion of product set up sheets and individual customer requirements
- Proactively reaching out to clients to promote seasonal launches
- Sampling packs for customer base
- Representing the brand at trade shows
- Achieving and exceeding team quarterly and annual budgets
