Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of facilities across the Carnoustie Golf Heritage & Hospitality estate.

About the Role

You will oversee planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance, contractor management and refurbishment works, ensuring our properties are maintained to the highest standards while supporting operational excellence and an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading day-to-day facilities management operations across the estate.

  • Coordinating planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activity.
  • Ensuring buildings, plant, infrastructure and systems are safe, compliant and well maintained.
  • Managing external contractors and specialist service providers to deliver quality, value and service excellence.
  • Leading, motivating and developing the in-house Maintenance Team.
  • Overseeing statutory compliance programmes, including fire safety, legionella, asbestos, electrical testing, gas safety, lifts and emergency lighting.
  • Coordinating refurbishment and small capital works projects from planning through to completion.
  • Supporting budget management, cost control and continuous improvement across facilities operations.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical understanding with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills.

You will be confident managing competing priorities, working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors, and making practical decisions that support safe, efficient and high-quality operations.

  • Experience in facilities management, building services or property maintenance.
  • A strong understanding of statutory compliance and health and safety requirements.
  • Experience managing contractors, service providers and maintenance budgets.
  • Confidence coordinating maintenance, refurbishment or improvement projects.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, or a technical background in electrical, mechanical or building services, would be advantageous.
