Princess Cruises is in search of a Sales Manager, Business Development, who is crucial in supporting our direction and nurturing a high-performing team. Lead and develop the Business Development and Engagement (BDEM) team to achieve Princess Cruises' sales targets across new and developing agent partners. Support the BDEMs with their travel agent call activity, performance delivery, and promotional plans to ensure consistent execution. Coach and support the BDEMs during face-to-face agent meetings and at external events, where this team will be the face of the Princess brand. Additionally, manage a dedicated portfolio of strategic accounts.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Responsible for the formulation of individual annual business plans for business development remit and strategic travel agent partners.
  • Day to day Leadership: of the Business development team including absence management, appraisals, recruitment, disciplinaries whilst offering ongoing coaching, feedback, training, mentoring and support.
  • Account Management: Define the business strategy for business development remit and strategic agents. Create and implement annual activity plans. Generate background info, brief senior management and take responsibility for commercial negotiations with strategic accounts. Present information to various audiences including senior executives and clients.
  • Budget Management: Responsible for monthly budget reconciliation, overseeing and finalising all accruals and forecasts for defined agencies and team. Maximising agent remuneration schemes and sales team incentive opportunities.
  • Priority Management: Work with US commercial team and Senior Sales Manager to ensure key priorities are addressed with appropriate plan of action with trade partners. Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity and utilisation of Princess promotional tools.

Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK07, offered as a full-time position, on a permanent basis.

Requirements: Your Expertise and Leadership

To thrive as a Sales Manager, Business Development within the Princess team, we're looking for:

  • Proven management and leadership experience within a sales or commercial environment
  • Demonstrable track record of identifying and delivering growth opportunities, driving incremental sales and distribution while maintaining brand integrity
  • Strong relationship management capability, including account development, negotiation, and influencing at senior levels
  • Experience operating effectively in an autonomous role, delivering against clear KPIs
  • Ability to develop, document, and present strategic plans, including annual strategies and business cases
  • Proven experience managing third party and partner relationships at a senior level
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness
  • High level of proficiency in IT applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Holds a valid UK driving license
