Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance in the Housekeeping Operation across P&O Cruises, covering accommodation, cleaning, disinfection, laundry, and floristry functions.
- Work closely with the Fleet Housekeeping Manager to update existing procedures based on feedback and ensure they are practical for operation.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert (SME) for the product range and specifications for linen, chemicals, plants/flowers, cabin supplies, consumables, and other cleaning equipment and manage specification databases to keep categories up to date.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Carnival UK, Carnival brands (ABG) and industry partners to review best practices and make recommendations to the Senior Manager, Hotel Standards, ensuring responsibilities align with brand aspiration.
- Lead and oversee the specifications and product range across all activity relating to cleaning/disinfection and accommodation services, providing direction to stakeholders for correct range of assets.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline ways of working, fully lead stakeholder engagement and execution to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide expert guidance on tools and equipment to ensure compliance and development towards sustainability goals.
- Work with a project mentality to deliver across all areas outlined, ensuring Senior Manager, Hotel Standards receives a clear RAID analysis for each month.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel or resort setting.
- Experience as a manager or team leader within the housekeeping department.
- Knowledge and experience of creating risk assessments using latest guidance from HSE.
- Highly knowledgeable in all areas of COSHH and chemical use with ability to establish clear priorities based on business requirements and work on own initiative.
- Excellent administrative skills, detail‑orientated with strong analytical skills.

Please note: This role is based within the Southampton UK office shoreside on a 14‑month fixed‑term basis. The position is a CUK08 and is offered on a full‑time, 14‑month fixed‑term basis with hybrid working in our Southampton office, including up to two days from home.
