Carnival UK is in search of a commercially minded Finance Partnering Manager who is crucial in supporting our financial direction and joining a high performing team for a 12-month period.
As Finance Partnering Manager, you’ll support the Maritime and Sustainability function in driving forwards commercial opportunities across the department. You’ll work closely with the Director of Maritime Business Performance, and the Director of Finance Business Partnering, to provide insight, challenge, and financial modelling to support long-term planning and investment decisions. Through influence and collaboration, you’ll play a key role in identifying and assessing opportunities and producing recommendations to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Exploring business challenges and opportunities through insightful commercial analysis, working closely with business stakeholders to understand operations, explore opportunities and develop plans to mitigate commercial risks.
- Making proposals and recommendations for future commercial improvements.
- Deeper dive analysis, including benchmarking and supporting data interrogation and insight in forming proposals and business cases.
- Strategic modelling, with scenario and sensitivity modelling, to support recommendations.
- Investment appraisal and measurement of benefits for key initiatives.
- Assessing contracts and suppliers for risks and opportunities.
- Drive insight into profitability and value creation across Maritime operations.
- Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in business partnering with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial acumen, demonstrating the ability to work independently, take initiative, and provide informed positions on commercial initiatives, projects, and investment decisions.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including the capability to convey complex information to individuals without a finance background and to craft compelling narratives that influence decisions.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience in business partnering to drive commercial benefits.
- Bring proactive and broad commercial acumen to discussions.
- Drive engagement and involvement in team/wide initiatives.
- Can effectively identify opportunities and highlight commercial risks.
- Have significant experience of commercial analysis, including modelling and use of large data sets.
