About the Role: Being a Doctor on board a P&O Cruises or Cunard ship is a truly distinctive medical career. Our ships operate like small towns, and our medical teams manage an exceptionally varied caseload. While you’ll certainly treat the occasional sunburn or seasickness, you’ll also draw on your A&E or Critical Care expertise to manage a wide spectrum of conditions; from minor injuries to complex medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests. You’ll work in a fully equipped medical centre, balancing the autonomy of remote medicine with the support of a close-knit clinical team. No two days are the same, and every voyage brings new challenges, new people, and new experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years post-qualification experience
  • Current medical registration in one of the following locations: UK, Australia, EU countries, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa (with DipPec), USA, or Canada.
  • At least six months of recent A&E or Critical Care experience
  • Competence in:
  • Airway management (including intubation and conscious sedation)
  • Cardiac case management
  • Common fracture and dislocation management
  • Leading a cardiac arrest team

For GMC-registered doctors, we will support you in maintaining your UK registration while working globally. During recruitment and onboarding, we may not be able to confirm an exact start date immediately, but we will keep you informed and ensure you have ample time and support to prepare for your adventure at sea.
