Carnival UK is in search of a Senior Manager, Maritime Projects, who is crucial in supporting our direction and nurturing a high-performing team for our Queen Mary 2 refit in 2027.
Role Overview
Our Maritime & Sustainability Team supports the delivery of major maritime structural projects within the Queen Mary 2 refit. Key accountabilities include:
- Lead delivery of major maritime structural projects within the Queen Mary 2 refit.
- Act as the project lead for assigned structural enhancement workstreams.
- Serve as the internal conduit between external designers/engineers, classification society, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, approval pathways, and dependencies to ensure statutory and class approvals are achieved on time.
Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK06, offered as a full-time position, on a 12-month fixed term basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
Requirements: Your Expertise and Leadership
To thrive as a Senior Manager, Maritime Projects, we're looking for:
- Strong project management capability within complex maritime or engineering environments.
- Foundational naval architecture understanding or strong engineering background with naval architecture appreciation.
- Ability to read, interpret, and interrogate structural and technical drawings.
- Experience working with external designers, engineers, and classification bodies.
