At Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding (CCS), we manage the new ship acquisition process for all eight brands within Carnival Corporation. This includes early ship definition, shipyard selection and contract negotiation, through to construction, commissioning and warranty. In addition to building new ships, CCS supports the existing fleet in operation and identifies new innovations and emerging technologies to support the corporation’s sustainability goals.
Strategy & Business Services is made up of a team of individuals who share their expertise through strong partnerships to drive ways of working that contribute to the overall strategy and success of CCS. A key part of the team is our Program Management Office (PMO) who leverage insights to ensure our business processes, tools and ways of working are fit for purpose and build on best practice.
We’re seeking a dynamic Analyst, Data and Insights to join our PMO team. This role will be based in Carnival House in Southampton, on a permanent basis. We believe in the power of diversity to drive success, valuing a blend of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.
The Analyst, Data and Insights will combine strong technical analytical capability with business curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset. The role will provide accurate, timely and meaningful data, reporting and analytical insight that supports decision-making across the CCS portfolio. Working closely with a variety of stakeholders across CCS, you will seek to understand the underlying business problem, explore how work and information flow through the organisation, and use data to identify patterns, risks, inefficiencies and opportunities.
You will help develop and maintain a complete CCS portfolio and resource view, connecting project, programme, delivery-type and resource data into reliable reporting and insight, while using AI, automation and modern analytical approaches to improve processes, reduce manual effort and support better decisions.
Key accountabilities include:
- Portfolio Classification, Reporting & Performance Insight: Produce accurate, timely and insightful reporting across the CCS portfolio, ensuring leadership teams have visibility of performance and delivery progress.
- Resource Planning & Capacity Analytics: Support demand, capacity and utilisation reporting across the CCS portfolio.
- Data Modelling, Data Quality & Single Source of Truth: Consolidate, cleanse and structure data from multiple systems and sources into reliable analytical datasets.
- Reporting, Dashboarding, Requirements Gathering & Visualisation: Develop and continuously improve dashboards, reports and visualisations that provide clear, engaging and actionable insight.
- Continuous Improvement & Analytical Capability: Use curiosity, data and process thinking to identify inefficiencies, challenge existing ways of working and improve how information flows through the organisation.
This is not a traditional reporting role. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical data skills with curiosity about how a business works, why processes operate as they do and how data, AI and modern tools can help improve them.
You are a technically capable analyst who is naturally curious about how organisations work. You enjoy getting into the data, but you do not stop at producing an accurate dashboard. You want to understand what sits behind the numbers, why the current process operates as it does and whether there is a better way. You thrive in a collaborative environment yet are capable of working with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
Position Requirements:
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or insight roles.
- Advanced experience producing dashboards, visualisations and analytical solutions using Power BI or equivalent BI platforms.
- Strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience analysing data and translating findings into meaningful business insight.
- Experience gathering and translating stakeholder requirements into practical reporting or analytical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- The ability to move from data to insight, explaining what is happening, why it matters and what could be done differently.
- An interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies, supported by examples of how you have used or experimented with modern tools to improve an outcome.
Why Join Us? Positioned within our internal structure from CCS15 (entry level) to CCS1 (Senior Vice President), this role is classified as a CCS09, offered as a full-time position, on a permanent contract. This role is based in Carnival House, Southampton with the requirement to be in the office three days a week, including Wednesdays and Thursdays. We offer a dynamic and inclusive workplace where your work makes a real impact.
