In our pursuit of excellence within our maritime & sustainability department, we are seeking individuals who bring a wealth of accounting knowledge and qualifications to the table for our Electrical Superintendent position. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Superintendent to join our Maritime & Sustainability Department. With a modern Fleet of 11 complex cruise ships heavily dependent on electrical equipment, this role is critical to ensuring that these ships remain safe, compliant and ready to meet their itineraries.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Working within the Fleet Technical Operations team taking responsibility for the provision, coordination, management and delivery of Electrical & Electronic expertise and operational support to the CUK fleet.
- Working closely with our ships staff and Ship Management team to ensure requirements are prioritized in order to deliver high levels of availability and meet the overall asset management strategy of the business in the area of Electrical & Electronic engineering.
- Ensure high levels of critical equipment availability and reliability, using data to investigate and identify root causes and trends.
- The management of obsolescence is a significant challenge in this area and you will need to work closely with ships staff and manufacturers to ensure equipment obsolescence is managed within a tolerable risk threshold, recommending and managing investment and upgrades as appropriate.
- In addition, you will be required to supply specialist support covering, but not limited to: all Electrical and Electronic equipment and systems on board carnival UK vessels including HV Generation and Distribution, Conversion, Electrical Propulsion, Automation, Monitoring, CCTV, Navigation and Safety systems as required.
