We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the hotel management team of a prestigious hotel property in Newcastle.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budget management, cash flow control, and compliance with statutory and company requirements.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial management within the hospitality sector, with strong analytical, leadership, and commercial skills. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, managing payroll and balance sheet reconciliations, overseeing audits, monitoring financial performance, and supporting operational managers to drive profitability.
Experience with hotel financial systems and hospitality KPIs would be advantageous.
