Senior HR Administrator – Private Equity

My client is a well-established international investment business with a strong reputation in its market and based in the West End.

They are looking to hire an experienced Senior HR Administrator to join their London-based HR team on a maternity cover contract.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for providing accurate, dependable and high-quality HR administration across the employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys HR administration and operations, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and is comfortable being a reliable and knowledgeable member of the HR team.

This role would particularly suit an experienced HR administrator who is happy to build depth and expertise within HR operations rather than someone looking to move quickly into a broader HR Business Partner position.

A start date of Mid September is preferable. Last week of September if necessary.

The Role

  • Coordinate employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, inductions, offboarding and exit processes
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration and the HR inbox, ensuring queries are handled or directed to the appropriate member of the team
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HR system
  • Produce regular and ad hoc employee data and reports
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation
  • Process routine employee changes including job title, salary, transfer and contractual amendments
  • Administer maternity, paternity and other statutory and company leave
  • Coordinate immigration and visa administration, working with employees and external advisers
  • Support the preparation and checking of monthly payroll instructions
  • Maintain HR files, records and documentation to a consistently high standard
  • Support the administration of annual compensation processes, including checking employee documentation against payroll inputs
  • Provide administrative support with recruitment where required
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure day-to-day HR activities are completed accurately and on time
  • The Candidate
  • Strong previous experience in an HR administration or HR operations role
  • Experience within Private Markets, Investment Management or similar financial services is essential
  • Comfortable working in a role where high-quality administration forms the core of the position
  • Experience administering employee lifecycle processes
  • Experience working within an international organisation would be helpful
  • Good experience using HR systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload and recurring HR processes
  • Able to work accurately with confidential and sensitive information
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, conscientious and methodical
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction when required
  • Someone who takes satisfaction from ensuring processes, records and administration are completed properly and on time
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous

This role is 5 days a week in the office and the hours are 9-6.

An exceptional candidate may be able to work 4 days in the office with one at home, but if up against an equal candidate, they will lose out.

There is no visa sponsorship for this role.
