We are working on a confidential appointment for an experienced Legal Counsel with a minimum of 4 years PQE (and more likely 7) to join an established investment business.
This is a broad in-house opportunity, offering considerable autonomy and close involvement with senior decision makers. The successful candidate will provide legal support across investment activities, fund-related matters and the wider commercial requirements of the business.
Our client has insisted we only speak with qualified lawyers who have developed strong experience within private markets, ideally combining a background in private practice with exposure to an in-house investment environment.
Candidates should have a sound understanding of investment funds and transactions, together with the commercial judgement and confidence to advise senior stakeholders. Experience of fundraising-related legal matters would be particularly relevant.
The position will suit someone who enjoys responsibility, is comfortable managing relationships with external advisers and can operate independently across a varied workload.
This represents an opportunity to take ownership of a broad legal remit within a commercially focused investment environment.
This role is 4 days a week in the office and 1 day working from home.
