Base pay range Overview Our client is a European Private Credit investment business primarily financing technology companies. As they raise for a new fund and grow the business, there is a need to hire an experienced Finance professional to oversee all of Finance and Operations. You will be an experienced professional, ideally with a background in Private Debt/Credit or other areas of Private Markets.
The Role Manage our external fund administrator to oversee day-to-day fund operations and quarterly reporting
Fund modelling and shadow accounts
Prepare/review valuations and ensure full supporting documents are provided to auditors
Manage banking, tax, annual audit processes and third-party vendors
Calculate quarterly gross/net IRR movements and other fund metrics along with ad hoc waterfall carry calculations
Controls & risk management (especially around cash/funding processes)
Calculation and recommendation of capital calls and distributions to the Partners
Engage with portfolio companies on financial reporting (e.g. covenants and ESG metrics), and reviewing/preparing funds flows where appropriate
Manage finance & operations at the firm level, including expenses, invoicing, recharges, VAT/CT returns and compliance with regulations and internal policies
Set up software tools and processes to facilitate optimal fund and firm operations and scalability
Work with FX brokers to maintain monthly forward settlements and ensure fund cashflows are sufficiently hedged (where required)
Assist with the preparation of fundraising materials, including fund presentation deck, due diligence materials, and ad-hoc due diligence requests
Requirements You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)
Relevant experience in Private Market funds
Knowledge of Lux structures and debt funds would be a plus
Able to operate in a stand-alone capacity, though supported by an experienced COO
Willing to be a \βhands-on\β operator. No task is too big or too small
You must be based in the UK and have eligibility to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not offered in this role
The Opportunity This is a genuine opportunity for someone to step into their first FD role from that of a senior controller
Alternatively a chance to gain further experience at this level for a small fund
