Our client is a leading global private markets investment firm with a long-established track record across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure, managing capital for some of the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors. They are looking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to join their Private Equity investment team in London, offering exposure across secondaries and direct/co-investments. This is a rare opportunity to gain genuinely broad buy-side experience early in your career within a highly collaborative, international investment platform.
The Opportunity
You’ll work closely with senior investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle, from initial screening through to execution and portfolio monitoring. Unlike many analyst roles, this position offers multi-strategy exposure, strong mentorship, and the chance to develop as a well-rounded private markets investor.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and review financial models for private equity secondaries and co-investment opportunities
- Perform valuation analysis of private equity portfolios and underlying companies
- Support investment due diligence, including fund, company, industry, and GP research
- Prepare investment committee materials and analysis
- Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring and valuation
- Engage with fund managers, sponsors, and management teams
- Contribute to wider business-building initiatives, including deal flow and process improvement
Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years’ experience in M&A-focused private equity or investment banking
- Strong grounding in financial modelling, valuation, and corporate finance
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and commercial judgement
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Motivated, proactive, and keen to build a long-term career in private markets
- Exposure to secondaries or co-investments is advantageous but not required
