Interim Financial Controller – Private Equity | Central London | 6-Month Contract | Start ASAP
A leading international private equity firm is seeking an Interim Fund Controller to join its high-performing fund finance team for an initial 6-month contract . This role is London-based and requires an immediate start .
You’ll play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of several private equity funds, partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across the UK, US, and Europe. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5–10+ years’ experience in fund accounting or fund controlling , ideally within the private equity space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of daily fund operations and financial control
- Review of complex carried interest and management fee calculations
- Investment transaction support (acquisitions and realisations)
- Oversight of investor reporting, valuations, and regulatory compliance
- Liaison with auditors, legal, tax, and internal teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Review of quarterly and annual accounts, partner capital statements
- Support and mentoring of junior fund finance team members
- Drive improvements in reporting processes and contribute to ad hoc projects
You’ll Need:
- Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Proven experience in private equity fund finance
- Strong understanding of fund structures and transaction mechanics
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player
- Ability to lead, prioritise and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
