Our client is a leading international private equity business with offices around the world and a sizeable presence in terms of their AUM, with this role sitting in their central London office.
This role will support the financial reporting activities for the private equity business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements for a number of entities, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements for a portfolio of UK and overseas entities, including limited companies, LLPs, LPs and general partners
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with the relevant accounting framework and statutory filing deadlines.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors throughout the audit cycle
- Support the head of the team in maintaining accurate financial reporting across the legal entity structure
- Assist with the review of legal entity financial information and ensure consistency across reporting.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining robust financial reporting processes and controls.
- Manage the day to day relationship with the outsourced financial reporting provider
- Support the preparation of information required for transfer pricing and tax compliance processes
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through standardisation, automation and enhanced controls.
Required Skills & Experience
- ACA or ACCA newly qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification)
- Experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and or IFRS financial reporting
- Experience working on private equity, asset management or financial services clients within a professional practice or someone working in a similar financial reporting role within a financial services business is desirable
