Our client, a dynamic team in the VC sector is looking for an experienced Events Manager to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This part-time role (3 days per week) offers the opportunity to lead and deliver their high-profile events programme across the VC and startup ecosystem.
You’ll take ownership of planning and executing a broad portfolio of events—from investor meetings and portfolio showcases to conferences, networking sessions, and community gatherings—ensuring continuity and excellence during the incumbent’s leave.
The role:- Plan, coordinate, and deliver full events calendar
- Manage end-to-end event delivery including venues, budgets, suppliers, logistics, and on-site execution
- Own event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery
- Track performance and deliver post-event evaluations with clear insights
- Represent the firm professionally at selected industry and portfolio events
- Build strong relationships with portfolio companies, investors, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including investment, communications, operations, and finance
- Manage external agencies, freelancers, venues, and suppliers
- Proven experience in events management (VC, finance, tech, or community-driven environments a plus)
- Strong project management and stakeholder-management skills
- Confident managing multiple events in fast-paced environments
- A creative eye for event design and attendee experience
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail-driven
