Who are we looking for? This role requires an experienced communications manager with a strong background in functions including PR, social media, content, and internal communications. The role holder must be able to develop and implement strategic communications, working very closely with the Head of Marketing to create integrated communications plans across all channels. This role requires a driven communications professional with a client-centric mindset, strong relationship management and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- At least 10 years' experience in communications within the financial services sector.
- Experience managing a PR agency or working within a PR agency.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Impeccable writing and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent media relations skills and a strong news sense.
- Ability to think strategically and develop successful PR campaigns.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Collaborate with the CMCO to design and execute external communication strategies that align with business objectives.
- Partner across the marketing team and with key internal and external stakeholders as well as our agencies, leveraging messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing and social media communications, in service of the commercial objectives of the business.
- Generate innovative content, including media releases, blogs, intranet articles, infographics, and videos, with a focus on writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Serve as a brand ambassador internally and externally, ensuring consistent adherence to firm-wide brand guidelines and alignment with global marketing activities.
- Ensure all communication materials meet brief requirements, are client-centric, compliant with legal and regulatory standards, and conduct thorough proofreading before publication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including journalists, industry leaders, and internal teams.
- Manage public relations budgets effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial targets are met.
