About the Role

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with up to 2 years’ PQE to join our London office. This is a unique opportunity to combine superb client exposure and quality legal work with a commercial, entrepreneurial role and regular interaction with key players in the funds industry.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with up to 2 years’ PQE in a similar role, either in private practice or in‑house.
  • Experience and knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses.
  • Familiarity with UCITS, AIFMD and their evolving regulatory, compliance and governance environment; covering a variety of fund product types and asset classes is preferable.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic business and regulatory environment.
  • Contract negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) essential; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in the United Kingdom.
  • Advise and assist on the formation, launch, registration and distribution of various fund structures, both UCITS and AIFs.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, including integration with our highly successful ManCo service offering.
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements and fund documentation (e.g., Management Company/AIFM and investment management agreements, prospectus, constitutional documents, administration and distribution agreements).
  • Assist and support the business generally, including manaheing Regulatory issues and presenting internally on relevant updates.
  • Liaise with external legal advisers and/or client counsel.
  • Assist with drafting and implementing regulatory documents.
  • Complete ad‑hoc projects as required.
