A new and exciting opportunity to join our growing Business Development (BD) team. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sales Business Manager to support and maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales team in winning complex sales and servicing complex clients. This role is pivotal in providing Executive Assistance to the Complex Sales team ensuring they maximise their impact on the Carne business. This role will be instrumental in large account planning, sales enablement, and pipeline management, supporting the team in navigating high-value, multi-stakeholder sales processes. The successful candidate can be based in London or Luxembourg.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Proven expertise in Large Account Management Planning is a critical requirement.
- Experience in complex sales support, sales operations, or account management within asset servicing, fund administration, securities services, or financial services.
- Understanding of institutional clients, investment operations, and regulatory frameworks (AIFMD, UCITS, CASS, Basel, MiFID, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce CRM, including pipeline management, reporting and dashboards, data integrity, and workflow automation to support sales processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and sales reporting tools.
- Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- Language skills a plus and fluency in English a requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Role and responsibilities:
- Assist sales executives in developing and managing large account plans for sophisticated institutional clients (asset managers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds etc.).
- Conduct research on client teams and structures, investment strategies, and decision-making processes, in order to identify appropriate connections and opportunities.
- Help sales team to map key stakeholders, ensuring the right engagement strategy.
- Support the development of customized client presentations and sales proposals tailored to complex client needs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted sales collateral, thought leadership materials, and event coordination for key accounts.
- Assist in organizing client events, webinars, and industry conferences to strengthen client relationships.
- Assist in the tracking and management of the sales pipeline, ensuring all deals are properly documented in Salesforce.
- Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions, contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor deal progression and key milestones, ensuring alignment with internal approval processes.
- Prepare sales performance reports, forecasts, and market analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights on competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging client needs around OwnCo transformation.
- Act as a central point of coordination between the sales team, client relationship managers, and operational teams to ensure seamless client onboarding.
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, sales reviews, and internal strategy sessions.
- Support sales team members with client communications, follow-ups, and action tracking.
- Ensure smooth execution of cross-border sales efforts, liaising with global teams where necessary.
