Who are we looking for?
The Carne Group ETF SME will provide specialised knowledge and expertise to support the sales efforts across the ETF segment at Carne Group. This individual will act as the subject matter expert across the business on ETFs including Carne’s multiple product offerings.
The SME will work closely with all sales teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to identify client prospects, build the Carne brand in ETFs in markets at conferences, and build & deliver compelling presentations to drive business growth.
This role will support all three sales teams: Transactional Sales, Consultative Sales, and Strategic Sales at Carne Group. The success of this role is tied to the overall growth of Carne\’s ETFs business.
What are the minimum requirements for the role?
- 10+ years of financial services experience with at least five years in the ETF industry, preferably within asset servicing, fund administration, or product management.
- Expertise in ETF operations, including creation/redemption processes, AP (Authorized Participant) network, ETF Share-Classes, and index replication.
- Familiarity with ETF regulatory environments, such as UCITS, 1940 Act ETFs, and other global frameworks.
- Proven ability to communicate complex ETF concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is preferred.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Design, develop, and drive the Carne ETF Strategy
- Design & develop the Carne Group ETF Strategy in consultation with Sales Leadership and the Consultative Sales Team.
- Develop the Go To Market strategy for each key jurisdiction.
- Build a comprehensive ETF ecosystem map and develop key relationships with professional services firms across the ETF ecosystem.
- Lead the execution of the Carne Strategy alongside frontline sales across all geographies.
- Sales Support and Client Engagement
- Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team during client meetings and presentations, offering expert knowledge of ETFs, ETF regulation, and ETF servicing.
- Develop and deliver compelling client proposals, product demonstrations, and presentations tailored to ETF managers.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs focusing on ETF servicing capabilities.
- Product Expertise and Advocacy
- Maintain knowledge of ETF structures, creation/redemption processes, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Articulate the company’s ETF servicing value proposition in the context of client challenges, including regulatory compliance.
- Educate and train sales teams on ETF products as an internal advocate.
- Solution Design and Implementation Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to design customized ETF servicing solutions.
- Translate client requirements into service models and support onboarding of new ETF clients.
- Market Insights and Competitive Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
- Share insights with sales and leadership.
- Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility.
- Internal Collaboration and Communication
- Work with Marketing to create ETF-specific collateral.
- Coordinate between sales, product, and operations teams to align on client expectations.
- Provide feedback to refine ETF offerings.
