Business Development – ETF SME
Location: London | Type: Permanent | Department: Business Development
Overview
We are looking for a subject matter expert in ETFs to support the sales efforts across the ETF segment at the Carne Group. The SME will act as the technical resource across the business on ETFs including the company’s product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the Carne Group ETF strategy in consultation with the sales leadership.
- Define the go‑to‑market strategy for key jurisdictions and build a full ETF ecosystem map.
- Lead the implementation of the strategy alongside frontline sales teams across all geographies.
- Act as the primary technical resource for client meetings, creating compelling presentations and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
- Maintain and update knowledge of ETF structures, creation/redemption, regulatory requirements and market trends.
- Collaborate with product, operations and marketing to design customized servicing solutions and produce collateral.
- Provide competitive analysis, share market insights and represent the company at industry events.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on client expectations and service delivery.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of financial services experience, with at least five years in the ETF industry (asset servicing, fund administration or product management).
- Deep expertise in ETF operations including creation/redemption, AP network, share‑classes and index replication.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as UCITS, 1940 Act ETFs and related global standards.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex ETF concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; MBA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
