About Us
Carnbrooke is an award-winning, family-owned business operating a production facility in Lisburn. We serve as a foodservice supplier to hotels and restaurants across Northern Ireland, alongside running our busy retail Food Halls. Due to an increase in business, we are seeking a competent Skilled Factory Operative to join our team.
The Role
In this factory role, you will go beyond basic packing to handle meat preparation and packing, work with packaging machinery, and take ownership of recording batch traceability and strict food hygiene systems on the production line.
What You Will Do
- Prepare premium meat products, minces, and burgers to specification.
- Competently set up, operate, clean, and maintain production equipment.
- Take responsibility for computerised batch coding, product labelling, and accurate stock replenishment logging.
- Ensure all checks are completed, including mandatory temperature monitoring, pre-operational equipment checks, and HACCP-aligned safety logs.
- Maintain strict PPE compliance.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Proven history working in a food manufacturing or chilled production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate and maintain mechanical production equipment.
- Ability to maintain speed, focus, and product quality under pressure to meet dispatch deadlines.
- Capable of lifting and moving product crates weighing up to 25 kg.
- Strong literacy skills for completing technical safety records and communicating in English.
Desirable
- Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
- Prior experience in a high-volume commercial butchery or meat processing plant.
