Quality Assurance Assistant Job Title: Quality Assistant Reporting to: Quality Manager Direct Reports: No Direct Reports Job Type:Full Time, Permanent Join a growing, fast-paced family business operating from our primary facility in Lisburn. Our operations include two busy Butchery & Food Halls alongside a Food Service division supplying premium hotels and restaurants throughout Northern Ireland. Our site features both a meat factory and a high volume production kitchen. Main Duties: Monitoring and carrying out checks throughout the on-site factory and kitchen, including CCPs and temperature Accurately completing and monitoring of all required paperwork Verify and check all production sheets Enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices and hygiene rules in the factory/kitchen environments Investigate non-compliances and customer complaints, recording them appropriately and resolving issues identified.Manage relevant quality standards, e.g. HACCP to ensure food safety, statutory & Company standards are maintained. Actively seek to reduce complaints throughout the company Assess intake of goods to ensure they meet company specifications before moving into production Assist in preparations of customer visits, third party and internal audits Person Specification Essential Criteria: Qualification in Food Safety Knowledge of HACCP and other quality management systems Performance driven and customer oriented Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills without compromise to food safety or quality Previous experience in Quality Assurance, compliance or a similar role Desirable Criteria: Qualifications in the areas of HACCP etc. Previous experience of meat sector Auditing experience Benefits: 20 % Employee discount Free on-site parking Please note that your application for this position will be treated as incomplete and cannot be processed until we receive your completed Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.
