My Client is a financial services firm with an international presence and based in the City of London. An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented HR Generalist with strong payroll coordination experience to support day-to-day HR operations and ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery. This role is a key point of contact for employee queries and supports the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll & Compensation
    • Coordinate global payroll for ~130 employees across multiple regions
    • Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure accurate, timely processing
    • Reconcile payroll with Finance and support reporting and audits
    • Support annual salary reviews, bonus processes, and compensation analysis
    • Maintain HR systems and compensation data accuracy
    • Assist with regulatory reporting and compensation communications
  • Benefits & HR Administration
    • Administer employee benefits (enrolment, renewals, billing checks)
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance
    • Act as first point of contact for HR policies and queries
    • Track leave/PTO and support general HR activities
  • Recruitment Support
    • Coordinate interviews and candidate logistics
    • Maintain ATS and manage candidate communications
    • Support pre-boarding, background checks, and onboarding
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Produce HR reports on headcount, retention, and costs
    • Analyse data to support business decisions
    • Maintain organisational charts and ad hoc reporting
Requirements
  • 2.1 Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or similar
  • 2+ years' HR/payroll experience in the Financial Services or Legal Sectors
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. BambooHR, ADP, Greenhouse) desirable
  • Analytical, organised, and detail-focused
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Experience with global payroll (UK, US, Canada, Singapore) is an advantage.

There is no visa sponsorship for this position. Ideally this will be 5 days in the office and 1 day wfh although for the strongest candidates, 4:1 may be accepted. Unfortunately I'll not be able answer every application, especially those from outside financial services or the legal sector.
