Carmichael are seeking a Temporary Works Engineer to join the team working on a nuclear project based in Cumbria.
- Role Accountabilities
- Detail design of temporary works or simple permanent works
- Management of internal and external designers
- Management of temporary works procedures
- Independent technical review, HAZARD and Risk Review
- Implement necessary Sellafield Ltd procedures
- Liaison with Principal Designer and Designers
- Learning from Experience, Safety in Design and best practice
- Manage change control procedures
- Internal and external progress reporting
- Participation in Temporary Works Forum and other related organisations
- Required Project knowledge
- Understanding and working knowledge of construction methods, materials and design processes
- 12 months experience completing designs within a consultancy or temporary works design department
- Member of an appropriate professional institution e. g. MICE.
- Ability to deputise for the Principal Engineer if required.
