CarmichaelUK is recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Woking, supporting works on a high-profile AWE scheme. We're looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys being out on site, taking ownership of engineering activities, and working closely with site teams to deliver works safely and efficiently.
Location: Woking
Rate: £320/day Ltd
Duration: Long-term opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying for civil engineering and infrastructure works
- Providing day-to-day engineering support to site operations
- Checking works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Producing and maintaining quality and as-built records
- Supporting site managers and supervisors with engineering solutions
- Liaising with subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong setting out background using Leica, Trimble, or Topcon equipment
- Comfortable being site-based and working closely with operational teams
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- CSCS card required
- A proactive, boots-on-the-ground approach to project delivery
- AWE clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance would be advantageous
