Carmichael are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the team to work on a nuclear project based in Cumbria.

  • Interpret and advise on quality system requirements for the Project.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Project quality management system.
  • Utilise quality management tools and techniques to promote continuous improvements throughout the Project team.
  • Coordinate with the Client’s quality management team.
  • Support Project team in development and review of inspection and test plans.
  • Prepare regular quality reports for the Project Manager.
  • Support the Project team to maintain and develop the non-conformity register and corrective action register.
  • Support the Project team with the development of systems to ensure handover documentation is managed in a timely manner.
  • Undertake internal Project audits and supplier audits.
  • Report on audit findings, agree corrective action with auditees and monitor close out of findings.
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the Project team.
  • Behave in a way that is aligned with core values.
  • Co-operate with all matters relating to health and safety, always including following safe working procedures.
  • Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behaviour when interacting with colleagues.
  • Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the document control system, Themis, on site.
