We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support the delivery of a major nuclear project in Cumbria. The role will be responsible for coordinating BIM and digital engineering activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring models and information are produced, managed, and delivered in line with project, client, and regulatory requirements within a highly controlled nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BIM activities across multi‑disciplinary design and delivery teams
  • Implement and manage the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), MIDP and TIDPs
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650, client BIM standards, and nuclear governance requirements
  • Manage and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring correct use and information flow
  • Coordinate model federation and clash detection, supporting design reviews and issue resolution
  • Ensure model information is accurate, consistent, and suitable for construction and assurance
  • Support information exchanges and data drops in line with project milestones
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on models and digital deliverables prior to issue
  • Liaise with design managers, engineers, contractors, and the client on all BIM‑related matters
  • Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital ways of working

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator on major infrastructure or regulated projects
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM standards, and information management processes
  • Experience using Revit, Navisworks, and Common Data Environments (e.g. ProjectWise, Asite, BIM 360)
  • Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary models (civil, structural, architectural, MEP)
  • Strong understanding of model coordination, clash detection, and information delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and strong quality‑focused mindset

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in the nuclear, defence, rail, or similarly regulated sectors
  • Familiarity with nuclear assurance, safety culture, and quality requirements
  • Knowledge of COBie and structured data delivery
  • Relevant qualification in BIM, Digital Engineering, Construction, or Engineering
  • SC clearance or eligibility to obtain security clearance
