Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced MEICA Commissioning Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects within a key AMP framework. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment schemes across the project lifecycle.
Duties will include:
- Leading and managing all MEICA and commissioning activities from design through to handover
- Developing and implementing commissioning strategies, programmes, and documentation
- Overseeing FAT, SAT, system testing, and performance validation activities
- Coordinating with design, construction, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration
- Managing subcontractors and commissioning engineers to ensure safe and compliant delivery
- Supporting HAZOP / HAZCON reviews and technical assurance processes
- Ensuring all commissioning activities meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Reporting on commissioning progress, risks, and programme delivery
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager within the UK water sector
- Strong MEICA background across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems
- Experience working on AMP frameworks (AMP7 / AMP8 highly desirable)
- Demonstrable experience on water or wastewater treatment projects
- Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, including FAT, SAT, and handover documentation
- Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
- CSCS/ECS card (essential)
- SMSTS (preferred)
