Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced MEICA Commissioning Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects within a key AMP framework. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment schemes across the project lifecycle.

Duties will include:

  • Leading and managing all MEICA and commissioning activities from design through to handover
  • Developing and implementing commissioning strategies, programmes, and documentation
  • Overseeing FAT, SAT, system testing, and performance validation activities
  • Coordinating with design, construction, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Managing subcontractors and commissioning engineers to ensure safe and compliant delivery
  • Supporting HAZOP / HAZCON reviews and technical assurance processes
  • Ensuring all commissioning activities meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Reporting on commissioning progress, risks, and programme delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager within the UK water sector
  • Strong MEICA background across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems
  • Experience working on AMP frameworks (AMP7 / AMP8 highly desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience on water or wastewater treatment projects
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, including FAT, SAT, and handover documentation
  • Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
  • CSCS/ECS card (essential)
  • SMSTS (preferred)
