We’re looking for a proactive Site Engineer (Structures) to join our construction team on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire. You’ll play a key role in delivering complex structural works — including bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, and reinforced concrete structures — as part of one of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure programmes. This position is ideal for an engineer seeking hands-on experience on a major civil engineering project, working alongside a highly skilled team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of structural works including setting out, surveys, and QA checks
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Prepare and manage ITPs, method statements, and technical documentation
- Support the Section Engineer and Site Manager in coordinating daily site activities
- Liaise with subcontractors, designers, and other engineering disciplines
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and as-built documentation
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental management
About You
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience as a Site Engineer on civil or infrastructure projects (structures experience preferred)
- Sound knowledge of setting out, QA processes, and temporary works
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- CSCS card and relevant safety training certifications
