CarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer with structures and RC frame experience to join a Tier 1 Contractor on the HS2 project in the Northamptonshire region. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe, with a strong pipeline of long-term work.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying for structural and RC frame works
- Preparing and checking technical documentation, drawings, and site reports
- Ensuring works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme requirements
- Liaising with Section Engineers, Agents, designers, and subcontractors to coordinate site activities
- Carrying out quality checks, producing ITPs and maintaining as-built records
- Supporting with material requisitions, permits, and method statements
- Monitoring health, safety and environmental compliance on site
- Assisting with progress reporting and providing technical input to solve site challenges
About You
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering structures and reinforced concrete works on major civil engineering projects
- Proficient in the use of setting out equipment (Total Station / GPS) and AutoCAD
- Good understanding of UK construction standards and regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CSCS essential, SMSTS and other industry tickets advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
